The Costa Mesa law firm, Rutan & Tucker, recently named 33rd District

State Senator Dick Ackerman to be Of Counsel to the firm.

Ackerman was welcomed to the firm at a reception held Wednesday night

in the Noguchi Gardens in Costa Mesa.

He will work with clients from multinational corporations and

financial institutions to private individuals and family-owned

businesses.

Ackerman has received many awards, including the 1996 Orange County

League of Cities Legislator of the Year and the 1997 Republican Party of

Orange County Legislator of the Year.

He currently serves as vice chairman of the Senate Budget and Fiscal

Review Committee and has been a member of the California Bar since 1968.

He also served on the Fullerton City Council for 12 years, including two

terms as mayor, and has a private legal practice in Fullerton.
