How to be a good sailor
The Coastline Pilot went to Top of the World Elementary School and
asked fifth-graders in Tori Flores’ history class, who spent time on
the ship Pilgrim in Dana Point, ‘What makes a good sailor?’
“You have to know the ropes, really concentrate on your job, stick
to it and don’t slack or sleep on the job.”
MATT PERELLA, 10
“He has to be good at working -- if he’s lazy he wouldn’t be very
good at all.”
PAUL SALOMON, 11
“A sailor has to work really hard. He has to be very into what
they’re doing and stick with it.”
NIA EVANS, 10
