WEDNESDAY
* Upper Rim Rock Road: A resident called police at 2:33 p.m. to
report a Great Dane roaming the street. She couldn’t leave the house,
she said, and her kids were afraid to come home because of its
presence.
* Temple Hills Drive: A resident asked police to patrol her house
at 11:41 a.m. because she suspected that her ex-boyfriend might be
coming to her house in the 1000 block to steal her carpet. She said
she thought he might still have a key. Police patrolled and saw
nothing.
* Arch Street: A resident said he left his wallet in a girl’s car
Tuesday and she wouldn’t give it back to him after he tried several
times to retrieve it. He told police at 8:59 a.m.
TUESDAY
* Crescent Bay Drive: The fire department responded to a call of
possible rescue at Crescent Bay Beach, where seven teenagers
apparently couldn’t climb back up from the rocks on the beach at 8:46
p.m. The report said four of the seven were jumping off the rocks
into the ocean, but no rescue was needed. It was recorded as a good
intentions call.
* Ocean Front: A resident in the 1200 block told police he keeps
finding undergarments and used condoms on his property. He wanted
them to regularly patrol the area at night to find trespassers.
Police said they’d increase night patrols in the area. He called
police at 3:56 p.m.
* Laguna Canyon Road: A resident reported that a man driving a van
tried to run him off the road while he was driving toward Laguna
Beach at around 2 p.m. As the Dodge Caravan passed, the driver threw
a thick, hard plastic toy rhinoceros at the victim’s car and then
sped off. The victim got the license plate number, and police found
the Dodge Caravan was registered to an Aliso Viejo resident. Police
are investigating.
* South Coast Highway: A visitor from England said he had about
$200 in British currency stolen from his motel room at Capri Laguna.
When he returned to his room at about 1:45 p.m., he found the door
wide open, footprints on the carpet and his money gone. Nothing else
was missing.
MONDAY
* Manzanita Drive: The owner of a home in the 700 block reported
at 4:01 p.m. that his tenant had blocked the entrance to his house
with chicken wire. When he tried to take pictures of the chicken
wire, the owner said, the tenant threatened him.
* Seacliff Drive: A resident in the 31000 block called police at
1:52 p.m. saying she needed officers to restrain her screaming
neighbors while she trimmed the bushes. She said her neighbors had
also been verbally abusing her workmen.
* Flora Street: A resident in the 500 block complained at around 6
p.m. that smoke from a neighbor’s outdoor barbecue was making him
sick. No arrests were made.
