To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Newport location, Fleming’s will present “Once in a Decade Dinners” from Sept. 21 to 27.

The three-course prix fixe menu for $39.98 does not include tax and gratuity. The 5 p.m. dinner will feature petite filet mignon, Australian lamb chops and chocolate peanut butter mousse cake.

$20 wine sampler planned for Friday

Wine aficionados will have the chance to sample selections from one of the best in the business Friday at Wine Lab Newport.

Bryan Kane, whose 2006 Sol Rouge Cabernet was named “Top Cabernet Sauvignon” at the 2008 California State Fair, will display his list of exclusive wines.

The cost for the event is $20 per person, and includes five 2-ounce pours and a selection of cheeses. Wine tasting begins at 5:30 p.m.
