Recovery home’s fate to be discussed at hearing

A public hearing scheduled for today will help determine whether drug and alcohol recovery home the Kramer Center will be allowed to remain open in Newport Beach.
The Kramer Center is a 12-person occupancy sober living home that operates out of a duplex at 207 28th St.
The recovery home is required to get a use permit to continue its operations in the city, under a city ordinance to regulate rehabilitation homes in Newport Beach passed earlier this year.
The hearing will be 4 p.m. today in Council Chambers at Newport Beach City Hall, 3300 Newport Blvd.
