Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill at South Coast Plaza today adds new dishes. They are:
Smoked chipotle-chicken tostadas with black beans, avocado, salsa fresca, sour cream and peanut serrano pesto sauce for $9.49 at lunch;
Petit grilled beef tenderloin with a Waldorf salad, cheddar potato cake and chimichurri for $15.99 on the lunch menu;
Red chile-encrusted pork tenderloin with escabeche, green chile rice and roasted tomatillo sauce for $15.49 for dinner;
Sauteed Shrimp-Roma tomatoes, baby spinach, zucchini, roasted garlic, mixed with angel hair pasta and sauteed shrimp with a peanut Serrano pesto for lunch for $13.49, $16.99 for dinner;
Pork and beef meatloaf with gravy and a cheddar potato cake and wild mushrooms, carrots and baby spinach for $9.99 for lunch, $12.99 for dinner.
Holiday dinner to go with Five Crowns
Five Crowns in Corona Del Mar is offering prime rib to go for busy holiday shoppers. A 17-pound full prime rib dinner that can serve 12 to 15 is available for $350. The dinner includes au jus, whipped horseradish, Caesar salad, mashed potatoes, gravy and creamed corn or spinach. You can also opt for the half-order that serves six to eight and costs $195. If you just want the prime rib, the big dinner costs $275 and the half-order is $150. You have to order with executive chef Dennis Brask 48 hours in advance at (949) 760-0555.
