Kickball league coming to Surf City

The World Adult Kickball Assn. is taking registration for coed adult kickball divisions for individuals, small groups and full teams.

The local division, CA Surf City Division, begins play Feb. 2. All games during the eight-week season will be played Monday evening at the Edison Community Center, 21377 Magnolia St., Huntington Beach. The cost for the season is $67. Fees include team shirts, equipment, season social events, division bar discounts and other items.

Seahawks baseball fundraiser is Feb. 21

The Ocean View High baseball boosters will hold their fourth annual Texas Hold’em fundraiser Feb. 21.

The event begins at 5 p.m. and is at the Centerfield Sports Bar & Grill, 17296 Beach Blvd., Huntington Beach.

The event features professional dealers, chips, tables and pit-bosses where more than $1,000 in prizes and giveaways will take place. First-time players will be able to learn the game during a free tutorial prior to the start of the event. Check-in starts at 4 p.m., with the first games to start at 5 p.m.

The cost to enter the fundraiser is $60.
