NEWPORT BEACH — Kirby Burnham had 17 kills to help the Sailors to a 25-23, 25-17, 25-23 Sunset League win Wednesday.

Katey Thompson had 11 kills and Maddy Brown added 10 kills for Newport (20-3, 7-0 in league).

Cinnamon Sary contributed 35 assists and Kelly Heenan finished with 14 digs for the Sailors, who play at Los Alamitos today at 5:45 p.m.

NEWPORT BEACH — Jordan McLaren scored five goals and recorded two steals for the Sailors in the Sunset League game Wednesday.

Zach Lucas had four goals and two assists, while Luke Ronaldson had three goals, three assists and two steals for Newport (18-3, 4-0 in league).

CORONA DEL MAR — The No. 3 doubles team of Alison Ishii and Mackenzie Ludlow won, 6-2, 6-2, 6-0 for the Sea Kings in the nonleague match Wednesday.

Hailey Hogan, playing at No. 1 singles, won, 6-4, 6-0, before being substituted for, as CdM improved to 16-1.
