Junior middle blocker Rebecca Penjoyan had seven kills and eight service aces to lead the Pacifica Christian Orange County High School girls’ volleyball team to a 25-9, 25-6, 25-5 win over Orangewood Academy on Monday in an Academy League match at home.
Julia Hanson had five kills and five aces for Pacifica Christian (9-6). Carly Kane and Charlotte Carlson each contributed nine digs.
GIRLS’ GOLF
Westminster 243, Estancia 332: Leeann Hong carded a two-over par 38 to lead the Lions over the Eagles on Monday in an Orange Coast League match at Meadowlark Golf Course.
Estancia dropped to 5-3 overall and 4-2 in league. Westminster remained unbeaten at 6-0 in league play.
