VU’s Terry named GSAC Defensive Player of the Week

Vanguard University junior goalkeeper Lauren Terry has been named Golden State Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week in women’s soccer.
Terry had two saves to help the No. 2-ranked Lions defeat No. 8-ranked Mobile, 2-0, on Saturday. She had seven saves in a 3-2 win over No. 17-ranked William Carey on Friday at the Orange Beach Sportsplex in Alabama.
Terry is 5-0 on the season heading into a nonconference clash with Bethesda of California on Friday at 2 p.m. at Santa Ana College.
