Update: Both teams are battling to stay in the top eight in the ever-so-tight West standings, with Dallas holding a one-point lead over the Kings. This is the third stop in a four-game trip for the Kings, and so far they have been dominant, especially on defense, beating Detroit 2-1 and then Columbus 4-2 Friday night behind Anze Kopitar’s hat trick and Jonathan Bernier’s netminding. Now it will be Jonathan Quick’s turn; he is scheduled to start in goal against Dallas. The Stars are playing well too, though, and are 6-0-2 in their last eight games.
