France: Catch the summer sun at a naturist resort
- Share via
Those looking to vacation au naturel will have an opportunity to do just that this summer in France. The Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park outside Toronto has joined with a travel agency to offer a group trip to Centre Helio Marin Montalivet on France’s Atlantic coast near Bordeaux.
CHM Montalivet is the oldest naturist (sometimes referred to as nudist) resort in France, with more than 3,000 sites for tents, RVs, cabins and bungalows on almost 500 acres.
Rates for the 10-day trip, July 5-16, include round-trip airfare from Montreal or Toronto (departures from other cities are available), transportation within France, and a bungalow stay at CHM Montalivet, July 5-12. Meals and certain amenities are not included.
The resort is suitable for families and features a number of activities, such as a water park and pool, beach, open-air theater, miniature golf, volleyball courts, arts and crafts village and children’s playground. An on-site shopping center includes restaurants and a grocery story.
Also included in the trip is a two-day, three-night stay July 13-16 in Paris — fully clothed — that includes accommodations at Hotel Oceania, some meals, an English-speaking tour guide, entrance to the Eiffel Tower and a Seine River cruise.
Rates for adults are about $2,390 per person, double occupancy. Rates for children ages 2 and 3 are about $1,933; ages 3 to 10 are $1,953.
