Pete Wentz filed a response Monday seeking joint custody of his son with Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, who filed for divorce from the former Fall Out Boy bassist in February.
Simpson-Wentz, 26, cited irreconcilable differences after nearly three years of marriage while seeking primary custody of their 2-year-old son, Bronx. But Simpson-Wentz, who will soon drop Wentz from her last name, petitioned for visitation rights for her soon-to-be-ex-husband.
The singer-actress also wanted spousal support and, last we heard, Wentz didn’t even want to break up.
So are they gearing up for a grisly custody battle? We’re not sure yet.
But we do know that the 31-year-old Black Cards musician is requesting that he and Simpson-Wentz share custody of Bronx in addition to terminating the court’s ability to award spousal support to Simpson-Wentz.
Messages left for Wentz’s attorney Tuesday were not immediately returned.
