Baseball: JSerra improves to 3-0

San Juan Capistrano JSerra improved its record to 3-0 with a 5-4 victory over Corona Santiago on Monday.

UCLA-bound catcher Austin Hedges went three for three with a double. Cal State Fullerton-bound outfielder Clay Williamson went two for four.

JSerra scored four in the first inning.

Los Angeles Fairfax gave new Coach Chuck Berrington his first victory with a 5-4 win over Lincoln. Steven Giannelli struck out seven.

Palm Desert defeated Anaheim Esperanza, 7-6. Dave Schuknecht had a triple, double, single and two RBIs. Brooks Kriske contributed a home run and scored two runs.
