Fullerton Softball Team Exercises in Futility

The Cal State Fullerton softball team played 26 innings Monday and came away with a loss and a no decision.
The Titans, the fourth-ranked team in the nation, lost the first game to host Nevada Las Vegas, 1-0, in 10 innings. The second game was tied, 3-3, after 16 innings when it was called because of darkness. The game will be continued at a later date.
Sheree Corniel had a one-out single in the 10th as fifth-ranked UNLV (34-9, 14-3) defeated Fullerton’s Tiffany Boyd (22-4).
Las Vegas scored three runs in the third to take a 3-1 lead in the second game, but Fullerton (36-10, 12-5) rallied for two runs in fifth.
