COUNTYWIDE : County Offers List of Smoke-Free Eateries

A free guide to more than 22 smoke-free restaurants in Ventura is being distributed by the Tobacco Education and Prevention Coalition.
The list, which includes sandwich shops, ethnic restaurants and breakfast places, is available by calling 652-6503.
The coalition prepared the leaflet as part of its work with Ventura County Public Health Services.
“We see smoking cessation clients and wanted to be able to refer them to places where they won’t be tempted to light up. It’s a vulnerable time for them,” spokeswoman Carlene Maggio said.
Maggio hopes to compile similar guides for other cities in the county by September. She is seeking volunteers to help with the work.
