Breaking Down the Doors: About 400 youths observing the 20th anniversary of the death of Jim Morrison on Wednesday tried to break into the Pere-Lachaise cemetery in Paris to visit the tomb of the Doors’ lead singer. Fans pelted police with beer bottles and set a car on fire after smashing it into the cemetery’s main gate. Police said 16 people were arrested. Morrison died July 3, 1971, of apparent heart failure at age 27.
