Bullock’s for Men Opening: One of the most closely watched experiments in the retail industry, a new all-men’s department store, is scheduled to open Monday at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa. Bullock’s for Men, coverted from a former I. Magnin store by owner R.H. Macy & Co., is being billed as a revolutionary concept in menswear retailing. The store will certainly have one of the county’s largest menswear collections, with 70,000 square feet, equal to 1 1/2 football fields. Katy Mason, a Macy spokeswoman, would not confirm that the store is opening Monday, but prominent window signs with that date have been placed at the main entrances. The store is next to the 270,000-square-foot Bullock’s department store.
