Two gang members have been arrested on suspicion of murder in the shooting death of a 20-year-old Norwalk man, sheriff’s deputies said Friday.
Albert Martinez was shot four times early Thursday in Norwalk after the gang members asked him where he was from, deputies said. They said Martinez walked over to a car in which the two male gang members were sitting with two women. The gang members left, but returned a few minutes later with a gun.
Detectives said they believe Rogelio Garcia Chavez, 20, of Paramount did the shooting. He was arrested Friday. His alleged companion, a 17-year-old transient whose name was not released because of his age, was arrested Thursday night.
