Wishing Mary Well: Motown singer Mary Wells got approval Tuesday to use a trial drug to fight the lung and throat cancer that has spread to her neck. Doctors hope the drug, Edatrexate, will halt the growth of the cancer with few side effects, said a spokeswoman for the philanthropic Rhythm and Blues Foundation. The Washington-based organization has created a fund to help Wells pay her medical bills.
