Looking to the Future

“Terminator 2: Judgment Day” is an awesome movie (“He Said He’d Be Back . . .,” Calendar, July 3).

This movie tells us that in our unrelenting obsession with machines we are dehumanizing ourselves, the only consequence of which can be a tragedy of vast proportions.

If, as a result of this movie the world becomes more aware, even at a subconscious level, and we pull ourselves back from the edge of disaster, then the reported $100-million cost of the movie was money well spent.
