Diving Dumais Brothers Gain National Berths in Platform

Brothers Troy, Justin and Brice Dumais of Ventura all qualified for a second event at the National Junior Olympic Diving Championships later this month with their 10-meter platform performances Saturday at the Zone D diving championships at the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center in Pasadena.

Troy Dumais placed second to John Eisler of Portland in the 13-and-under division with a score of 275.80. Justin Dumais was fifth at 224.10 and Brice Dumais sixth with 199.10. Each had also qualified on the three-meter springboard Friday.

Also advancing was Janelle Speriglio of Encino in the girls’ 16-18 three-meter springboard. Speriglio, who had qualified in the one-meter springboard Friday, was seventh with 357.85.
