George Steinbrenner reportedly is ready to invest up to $3 million to help save the Lightning, Tampa’s struggling NHL expansion franchise.
Steinbrenner intervened two weeks ago to help resolve a power struggle that has kept the Florida team from making its second franchise fee payment, unidentified sources told the Tampa Tribune.
