ORANGE — A man was shot to death early Saturday, and a suspect was arrested after witnesses pointed out his apartment, a police spokesman said.
Orange Police Lt. Edward Falkenstein said the body of Amancio Hernandez, 24, of Orange was found about 1 a.m. in an alley behind an apartment complex at 3050 E. Vine St.
No motive has been determined, police said.
Marcelino Calderon Silva, 32, of Orange was arrested on suspicion of murder after witnesses told police they saw a man running with a gun into one of the complex’s apartments immediately after the shooting, Falkenstein said.
Silva was taken to Orange County Jail, Falkenstein said, with bail set at $250,000.
A semiautomatic pistol believed to be the murder weapon was recovered, he said.
