AST Taps New Retail Outlets for PC Line: AST Research Inc., a computer manufacturer, said it will sell a new line of personal computers through the Circuit City consumer electronics retail chain. AST will sell the line of Advantage! brand computers in 166 Circuit City stores nationwide. The first machines will debut in Dallas and Houston this fall. AST is promoting the machines as having “plug-and-play” features that enable computer novices to learn how to use the machines quickly.
