The Cleveland Indians demoted reliever Doug Jones, their all-time save leader, to triple-A Colorado Springs. Jones had the right to refuse the assignment and become a free agent, but said he would report to the minors. . . . Lenny Dykstra’s arraignment on drunk driving and other charges from his May 6 automobile accident has been postponed until the Philadelphia Phillies complete their West Coast trip. The court proceeding will be Aug. 8, according to the Delaware County district attorney’s office.
