SPOTLIGHT: If Michigan receives the opening kickoff at the Rose Bowl today (C1), the TV cameras will be focused on Jason Crabbe, a Laguna Beach High graduate, who does Washington’s place kicking. . . . Crabbe is a walk-on junior who hadn’t played in college before this season. He could see a lot of action today: Washington enters the Rose Bowl averaging 41.9 points per game, second best in the country.
