Barry-Visitor Sex Reports Probed

WASHINGTON — Federal prison officials are investigating reports that a woman visited former District of Columbia Mayor Marion Barry in prison last Sunday and performed oral sex on him in a room where dozens of inmates and their visitors were gathered, according to inmates and a federal official.
“You couldn’t miss it. It was blatant--in front of everybody,” said Floyd Archer Robertson III, a former inmate at the prison in Petersburg, Va., who said he was sitting several feet away with his wife and their children.
Three people told the Washington Post they saw the encounter.
Petersburg prison spokesman Eugene Ray said officials cannot discuss an inmate’s conduct without the prisoner’s authorization. Barry declined to grant such authorization.
Barry is serving a six-month prison term for cocaine possession.
