PREP SOCCER ROUNDUP : Harty Leads Servite’s Upset of Villa Park

Barclay Harty scored the only goals of the match and Servite, unranked in Orange County, defeated ninth-ranked Villa Park, 2-0, in nonleague boys’ soccer Friday at Villa Park.

It was the first loss of the season for Villa Park (8-1-1). Servite is 5-1-3.

In other nonleague boys’ soccer:

Marina 2, San Clemente 0--Dan Judkins and Chris Hames scored for host Marina (10-2-2).

In the the Simi Valley boys’ tournament:

West Bakersfield 3, Capistrano Valley 2 (penalty kicks)--Jeff Rynders scored the tying goal early in the second half of regulation on a free kick for Capistrano Valley (11-2-1), but the Cougars lost, 3-0, in penalty kicks. The Cougars later defeated Burbank Burroughs, 3-1, in the consolation semifinals.

In nonleague girls’ soccer:

Estancia 2, Valencia 0--Danielle Straub scored three minutes into the match on a header and added another goal three minutes into the second half for Estancia (7-1-1).

Orange 8, Century 0--Laura Roundy scored three goals for Orange (4-4-1).
