The Green Bay Packers, who were unable to lure Bill Parcells from the television studio to the sidelines, are still looking for a coach two weeks after firing Lindy Infante.
Mike Holmgren, the San Francisco 49ers’ offensive coordinator, has interviewed for the job and is considered one of the top candidates, along with former Seattle Seahawk Coach Chuck Knox.
By the end of this week, Holmgren is scheduled to have been interviewed by all six NFL teams with vacancies. In addition to the Packers, Holmgren has interviewed with the Rams and Pittsburgh Steelers.
He is scheduled for interviews with the Indianapolis Colts and Minnesota Vikings by Thursday, according to his agent Bob LaMonte. Another report says the 43-year-old Holmgren also will talk with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Tuesday.
