Opera Woes: The San Diego Opera has postponed delivering the scenery, lighting and costumes for its season opener of “Der Rosenkavalier” to the San Diego Civic Theatre while contract negotiations continue between the Opera and the Musicians Assn. of San Diego, Local 325 of the American Federation of Musicians. Negotiations continued Monday, with the primary stopping point being a provision to avoid scheduling conflicts between the San Diego Opera and the San Diego Symphony. Many of the musicians play for both orchestras. Rehearsals are scheduled to begin Thursday for the opera, which is to open Jan. 18. A spokesman for the opera company said the sets are tentatively scheduled to be delivered Wednesday.
