The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between Dec. 30 and Jan. 5.
Glendale
Emerald Isle Drive, 3200 block--Burglars entered a home between Dec. 25 and 31 and stole stereo equipment, a VCR and 150 compact discs valued at $8,127.
West Palmer Avenue, 400 block--Burglars bent wrought-iron bars and broke a window to enter a business on Jan. 2 or 3 and stole a phone and fax machine valued at $1,150.
San Fernando Road, 6200 block--A man was arrested for felony assault Jan. 3 after breaking down an apartment door at 1:50 a.m. and threatening the four occupants with death.
California Avenue and Geneva Street--A purse containing $50 was stolen from a woman as she walked to a toy store on Jan. 4 at 3:25 p.m.
Atwater
Perlita Avenue, 6000 block--Thieves used bolt cutters to cut a padlock on a construction site and took a stereo valued at $1,600 on Dec. 29 or 30.
Cypress Park
Cypress Avenue, 4000 block--A burglar smashed the glass door of a bus and took industrial equipment valued at $30,000 on Dec. 29 or 30.
Eagle Rock
Colorado Boulevard, 800 block--Burglars smashed a rear window of a business between Dec. 27 and 30 and stole computer equipment and business machines valued at $4,600.
Figueroa Street, 7300 block--Auto parts and accessories valued at $6,000 were stolen from a gas station Dec. 31 or Jan. 1.
Highland Park
North Avenue 50, 800 block--Two armed robbers pulled a motorist and passenger from a car, stole jewelry valued at $200 and fled in the vehicle on Jan. 1 at 7:30 p.m.
Ellita Place, 100 block--Burglars smashed a window to enter an apartment and steal video equipment and a TV valued at $1,411 on Dec. 30 or 31.
York Boulevard and Figueroa Street--A purse and money valued at $3,095 were snatched from a woman in a parking facility on Dec. 31 at 3:30 p.m.
Echo Park
Figueroa Terrace, 1000 block--A purse valued at $60 was snatched from a woman after a thief pushed the woman to the ground Jan. 1 at 8:30 p.m.
West Sunset Boulevard, 1500 block--More than $50,000 in clothing was stolen from a store on Dec. 3 or 4.
La Crescenta
Cloudcrest Road, 3000 block--A fire destroyed the interior and most of the exterior of a $320,000 home on Dec. 30 at 1:10 a.m. The owner of the home was the victim of an assault on Dec. 21 and had been staying with friends for safety, authorities said. A neighbor reported smelling gasoline before the fire, but investigators attributed the blaze to faulty electrical wiring.
Los Feliz
Berkeley Avenue, 1900 block--Two armed robbers confronted a pedestrian on a sidewalk and took $250 on Dec. 30 at 7:55 p.m.
Observatory Avenue, 2300 block--Burglars removed louvered windows to enter a home, then ransacked it and stole money and jewelry valued at $1,270 on Dec. 30 or 31.
Fern Dell Drive and Griffith Park Boulevard--A camera and equipment valued at $1,000 were stolen from a person in Griffith Park by two thieves who fled in a car on Dec. 31 at 3:30 p.m.
Glendale Boulevard, 3100 block--Computer equipment valued at $4,480 was stolen from a medical office between Dec. 31 and Jan. 2.
Avocado Street, 4200 block--Burglars removed a lock from a trailer and stole computer equipment and a stereo valued at $5,550 on Jan. 4 or 5.
Glassell Park
Isabel Drive and Merced Street--Police officers were uninjured when bullets struck the windshield of their patrol car on Jan. 1 at 6 p.m.
Mt. Washington
Figueroa Street, 4500 block--Burglars stole heavy equipment valued at $2,000 from a storage shed on Dec. 30 or 31.
West Avenue 45, 200 block--Six robbers were involved in the theft of a pizza and money valued at $73 from a delivery person on Jan. 4 at 9 p.m.
Silver Lake
Lakeview Avenue, 2500 block--Burglars pried open a door to a home and stole a TV and video equipment valued at $1,800 on Dec. 30 between 7 and 10 p.m.
Kenilworth Avenue, 2300 block--Jewelry, precious metals and camera equipment valued at $3,200 was stolen from a home on Dec. 30 between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m.
Griffith Park Boulevard, 2400 block--Musical instruments and telephone equipment valued at $1,020 were stolen from an apartment on Dec. 30 between 6:30 and 11:30 p.m.
Vermont Avenue, 1300 block--A thief posing as a maintenance man made off with business machines valued at $4,500 from a hospital on Dec. 30.
Sunset Boulevard, 3100 block--Burglars used a tire iron to break a lock and enter a business on Jan. 4 or 5, and money and video equipment valued at $2,100 were reported stolen.
