OJAI : 2 Small Temblors Hit South of Town

Ojai residents were hardly rattled by two small earthquakes that hit just south of the town, authorities said Wednesday.
The first temblor, which measured 2.3 on the Richter scale of ground motion, hit at 7:14 p.m. Tuesday, said Robert Finn, spokesman for Caltech in Pasadena. Both the quake and a very small aftershock that occurred about 9:30 p.m. were centered two miles south of Ojai, Finn said.
