How to Not Write

I do admire Howard Rosenberg’s columns, both serious and humorous. However, since his New Year’s Resolutions (“1992: It Can Only Get Better,” Jan. 1) include not to use bad grammar, perhaps he might eliminate all of his split infinitives. “I resolve to not use bad grammar” is bad grammar at its worst!
