UCLA Victory Didn’t Bowl Over Bruin Fans

UCLA played the John Hancock Bowl as though they were coached by Pat Buchanan, with Rush Limbaugh as offensive coordinator. Why was Terry Donahue smiling so broadly at the end of the game? Because the ugly victory was his eighth straight bowl win? He should have walked off the field with a sack over his head. Northwestern would have beaten both of those teams. Is this the bright 1992 future Donahue and UCLA promised their fans?
