The so-called immigrant-rights advocates persist in their ridiculous attempt to embarrass the city of Orange for assisting the Border Patrol with the September roundup of illegal aliens. There is absolutely no reason for the city to deny or be ashamed of any inducement or assistance it gave to the federal agents. City officials should be proud of the fact that they participated in the largest alien roundup in Orange County history.
Our southern border is being breached by over a thousand illegals each day, many of whom attempt to settle in our county. It is ludicrous to squabble about whether we are infringing on the rights of the illegal aliens while they flagrantly surge into our cities.
More power to the enterprising immigration officials who enter dwellings with municipal code enforcement personnel. Well-known pockets of illegal aliens such as Orange Park Villas should be swept frequently by the Border Patrol with full and open assistance of every available governmental agency.
