Woman Cited After Being Hit by Car

BREA — A Brea woman was slightly injured and later cited by police Monday afternoon after she was hit by a car as she allegedly crossed the street against a red light.
Belen Alvarado, 32, suffered minor injuries to her right knee and head after trying to cross Imperial Highway at Laurel Avenue against the light, police said. She was not hospitalized.
The driver of the eastbound car was not cited in the 12:45 p.m. accident, said Police Officer Chris Haddad.
