HEBRON, Israeli — Occupied West Bank--Israeli military judges refused Monday to let five Palestinians slated for expulsion see the evidence against them.
Judge Yossef Hichri, head of a three-man military appeal board in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron, said the evidence is secret. He released to the defense two nationalist pamphlets allegedly written by one of the defendants but said the main material cannot be revealed because of security.
Palestinians said that without seeing the state’s evidence, they could not defend themselves against deportation orders. All 15 members of the U.N. Security Council condemned the move last week.
