Oxnard police are hunting a man who raped a 69-year-old woman early Monday and then fled with the woman’s cash and jewelry.
Police said the man may have used a bathroom window to enter the woman’s north Oxnard residence about 6 a.m. She was getting ready for work when he put a blanket over her head and raped her. He took an undisclosed amount of cash and jewelry before leaving.
Police said he tried to drive away in the woman’s car, but it would not start, so he fled on foot.
