Glendale : Subdivision Hearing Delayed
A hearing on the controversial Sleepy Hollow subdivision was postponed until Jan. 28 to allow homeowners to present alternatives to a developer’s proposal.
Developer Ken Doty wants to build 22 $1-million homes on a 30-acre hillside in Glenoaks Canyon. Residents, who have fought the subdivision since Doty proposed it more than five years ago, want only 11 to 18 houses.
Doty’s original plan, which called for 25 houses, was rejected a year ago by the City Council. The city Planning Commission last month voted for Doty’s revised 22-house proposal.
The Jan. 28 hearing will be at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 613 E. Broadway.
