Sandoz was on The Times’ Southeast All-Star Team last year and appears to be picking up right were she left off. Last week, she scored 60 points and had 46 rebounds to lead the Warriors to a 2-0 start in the Camino Real League with wins over St. Monica and St. Anthony.

Other top performers:

* Allison Arredondo, who scored 40 points as Gahr opened San Gabriel Valley League play with wins over Paramount and Warren.

* Michelle Esparza, who scored 39 of El Rancho’s record-high total in a 94-56 rout of Montebello. She also pumped in 33 points in a 57-39 win over La Serna. El Rancho is 2-0 in the Whitmont League.
