In another Sea View League boys’ match:
Newport Harbor 2, Woodbridge 1--Woodbridge (4-4-3, 1-1) took a 1-0 lead after Krister Olsson scored a first-half goal, but Sailors’ midfielder Jim Hicks scored two second-half goals for host Newport Harbor (5-4-2, 2-0).
Newport Harbor goalie Doug Stuckey had six saves, filling in for starting goalie Mike Freeman, who was injured in Wednesday’s 2-1 victory over Corona del Mar.
In the Century League:
Villa Park 3, Santa Ana Valley 2--Villa Park fullback Andy Oftelie scored three second-half goals, all on headers, for the visiting Spartans (9-2-2, 1-1-1).
Orange 1, Foothill 0--Marcello Sandoval scored midway through the first half for visiting Orange.
In the Empire League:
El Dorado 1, Cypress 1--Scott Anderson scored on a penalty kick with 15 minutes left to give visiting El Dorado the tie. Cypress’ Chris Pohl scored five minutes earlier on a 40-yard free kick.
In the Freeway League:
Troy 0, Sunny Hills 0--Brian Logan had six saves for visiting Troy (4-3-5, 0-1-2) and Yogesh Shroff had nine for Sunny Hills (4-4-4, 1-0-2).
In the Garden Grove League:
Pacifica 0, Los Amigos 0 (OT)--Los Amigos goalie Brian Laske made two saves for his third shutout for Los Amigos (4-5-1, 3-2-1). Justin McAnear stopped three shots for Pacifica.
In the Orange League:
Anaheim 2, Brea-Olinda 1--Alex Perez and Jaime Garcia each scored in the second half for Anaheim (8-1-8, 2-0-0).
Western 2, Savanna 0--Chad Bohm and Jason Covarruvis had one goal each for host Western (5-3-4, 1-0-1).
In the Pacific Coast League:
Laguna Hills 3, Estancia 0--Daynon Higgins scored on a header from 18 yards out seven minutes into the game, and Ryan Miller scored from 20 yards at 10 minutes for the host Hawks (9-7-1, 2-1-0). Greg Borgogna added a second-half goal for Laguna Hills and Estancia fell to 3-5-5, 2-1-0.
Costa Mesa 2, Century 0--Owen Markert headed in two second-half goals as the Mustangs won their second in a row after beginning the season with 11 losses.
Trabuco Hills 7, Laguna Beach 1--Jeff Martino scored three goals for visiting Trabuco Hills (8-6-1, 3-0).
In the Sea View League:
University 3, Tustin 2--Andy Fuller, David Nakasone and Josh Dake scored first-half goals for host University (3-5-1, 1-1).
In the Sunset League:
Fountain Valley 0, Huntington Beach 0 (OT)--Huntington Beach’s Matt Goldman made one save to pick up his ninth shutout of the season and third in league play for the host Oilers (8-6-5, 1-1-3). Ryan Bertoni made six saves for Fountain Valley (5-3-7, 1-0-3).
Ocean View 6, Westminster 0--Dan Tomlin and Luan Lai each scored two goals for host Ocean View (11-4-2, 4-0), the second-ranked team in Orange County.
In the South Coast League:
Capistrano Valley 1, El Toro 1--Jeff Rynders scored on a crossing pass from Dave Berman to tie the score for Capistrano Valley (13-3-2, 1-1-1). El Toro (6-4-3, 2-0-1) took the lead in the first half on a goal by Ian Doleman.
