I wonder what the ethics committee of the American Psychiatric Assn. would say about the romantic relationship between Barbra Streisand and Nick Nolte in “The Prince of Tides.” Streisand’s character, Dr. Lowenstein, was made a heroine, when in reality a Dr. Lowenstein can be very destructive. Affairs between doctors and patients are unethical and increasingly illegal.
