We’re All in Agriculture

Regarding M. Stephen Sheldon’s disparaging belittlement of cowboys and farmers “masquerading as college professors”--as though that was going from the bottom of the list to the top--in a letter Jan. 19, I recall a sign in front of the Grange hall in rural Crossville, Tenn., that proclaimed:
“If you eat, you are involved in agriculture.”
It would please me greatly if Sheldon would disinvolve himself from agriculture. To paraphrase Mark Twain, if his funeral were anywhere in the territory I would postpone any other recreation in order to attend it.
