Just How Much Time Do These Guys Need?

On the same day you ran Mike Epstein’s letter urging time for the philosophies of Angel honchos Herzog and Rodgers to work, it was noted that the Angels have signed Dick Schofield, who hit .225 last year, to a $1.5-million contract. To further add some punch to their attack, perhaps they should next go after Bob Uecker as a backup to Lance Parrish. I also note that Epstein, who hit 30 home runs as a Washington Senator, didn’t have quite the sock of Schofield, batting .215 and .161 in his two seasons with the Angels.
