Increase in Car-Pooling

Your article and especially your graph, “Changing Commuting Habits,” really caught my eye. I was struck by the last two puny items, “Telecommute” and “Compressed Work Week,” showing their tiny percentages of the work force.
This graphically reinforces my view that U.S. managers keep a stranglehold on us workers. They want lots of warm bodies around them to maintain their dynasties.
As long as this boss-grunt attitude rules, productivity will surely suffer.
