POINT MUGU : Air Show Moved Back to October

The Point Mugu Airshow will take place in October this year, resuming the tradition of holding the aerial demonstration during the fall to avoid heavy fog present during other months, officials said Friday.
Last year’s show was moved to July to accommodate the Blue Angels, the U.S. Air Force’s world-renowned demonstration team, Point Mugu spokesman Bob Hubbert said.
But the first day of last year’s show was put in jeopardy by thick fog, the reason the air shows have been held during October for most of the past 30 years, Hubbert said.
The key attraction at this year’s show will be the Snowbirds, Canada’s official air demonstration team, Hubbert said.
About 200,000 people attended last year’s show. The show will take place on Oct. 10-11.
