San Diego Cable Sports Network announced it will telecast the Gulls’ IHL hockey game at Phoenix Tuesday live at 6 p.m. PST. The network, which canceled the telecast of eight remaining Gulls home games, is revising its schedule so that it can air road games.

Tuesday’s game will be carried by Cox (Channel 22), Southwestern (Ch. 30), Jones Intercable (Ch. 25) and American Cablevision (24B) cable companies. The network said more road telecasts will be announced later.

University of San Diego opened the season with a 9-0 nonconference victory over UC Riverside. Among the winners were No. 1 Fredrik Axsater, who beat Brian Giffin, 6-3, 6-4, and No. 2 Kevin Bradley, who beat Kelly Askvig, 6-2, 6-4. USD is 1-0; Riverside is 0-1.
