MINNEAPOLIS — Buffalo defensive end Leon Seals announced after Sunday’s game that he wanted to leave the Bills. Seals said his reasons for wanting to leave were personal, though it is believed he is unhappy with his contract.
“Yes, I want out of Buffalo,” Seals said. “I demand to be traded. Case closed. It’s better if Leon Seals has a different helmet on next year in training camp.”
Sunday’s victory was Washington Coach Joe Gibbs’ third in a Super Bowl, tying him for most titles with former San Francisco 49ers coach, Bill Walsh. Chuck Noll, who recently retired as coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, won four Super Bowl titles. Mark Rypien is the third quarterback to win a Super Bowl title with Gibbs, joining Joe Theismann and Doug Williams. . . . Gibbs owns a 3-1 record in Super Bowls.
