Looking Back at the Gulf War

We keep reading comments by notable people about the Gulf War. They are all saying that we made a mistake by not going on to Baghdad and getting Saddam Hussein, etc. There are other versions along the same line about the mistakes that were made after we took over Kuwait.
As I recall the United Nations mandate, it was that the U.N. forces get the Iraqis out of Kuwait, and nothing more than that. That is what we did.
